How To Measure Your Laundry Room

Knowing the precise dimensions of your laundry space helps you avoid costly mistakes, makes installation smoother and ensures everything fits perfectly, from your washing machine to your cabinetry and storage solutions. Follow this step-by-step guide to confidently measure your laundry room like a pro.

Start with the Overall Room Dimensions

Begin by measuring the entire laundry room. Record the length and width from wall to wall, noting any alcoves or recesses. Then measure floor to ceiling height, especially if you plan to install tall cabinets or wall storage. These overall room dimensions are the foundation of your layout and ensure your design fits the space.

Map Doors, Windows & Obstructions
